Resource Efficiency means to use smaller amounts of physical resources to produce the same product or service and to replenish those resources that are being used. All the materials in the process must be considered along with how waste is used or disposed of. The energy that the process requires is considered a resource as well.
Everything we use to build or remodel and appoint a home with furnishings and appliances comes from somewhere. How these things are produced and how the raw materials are sustained is important to the process and must be considered.
